Scott Wierson
Scott as over 25 years proven ability managing the network design, integration, and operations of wireless based communication systems all over the world. Scott has helped a number of operators to develop a business case, select equipment, and implement broadband wireless and cellular solutions. Most recently he has helped a cellular operator in the Caribbean reduce costs, optimize performance, and add data (3G) services to their network. As Vice President of planning and engineering for Evolution Networks, he led a team of network, systems, and RF engineers in the design of both long haul and metropolitan hybrid optical and wireless networks. This included designing the architecture for a network providing backhaul transport for cell site traffic using 3rd Generation (3G) technology. He has also been active in designing IMS backbones for triple and quad play applications.While with Metromedia Scott provided technical, project management and operational expertise to over 40 joint venture initiatives in Eastern Europe, Russia, the Baltics, China, and Indonesia. These ventures provided a variety of services including fixed wireless, mobile telephone, data, Internet, and CATV services. Scott has successfully directed the implementation of CDMA, TDMA, GSM, and D-AMPS based networks.
